Purchases & Refunds

LayerUp Kids has one optional purchase, and the app stores handle the money. Here is how that works and where to go if you need a refund.

What you can buy

LayerUp Kids is free to use, supported by advertising. There is one optional purchase: a one-time lifetime unlock, currently AU$3.99. It is not a subscription, and there is no recurring charge. Prices are set in the app stores and may vary by region, currency and local taxes.

The lifetime unlock currently includes:

  • adding and managing multiple children
  • creating and sharing routine PDFs with caregivers, daycare and grandparents
  • removal of advertising
  • lifetime access, with no recurring subscription

Who processes your payment

Purchases are made through the app store you downloaded LayerUp Kids from, using Apple's in-app purchase system or Google Play's billing system where applicable. That store processes the payment, issues the receipt, and holds the transaction record under its own terms.

LayerUp Kids does not process card payments and does not receive or store your payment card details. Because of that, we cannot charge or refund a card directly — refunds are handled by the store that took the payment.

Requesting a refund on Apple (App Store)

Refunds for App Store purchases follow Apple's purchase and refund process. Use Apple's Report a Problem page, or follow Apple's instructions for requesting a refund for apps or content. You can also request a refund from your purchase history in the App Store or in your device settings.

Apple decides whether a refund is granted, under the Apple Media Services Terms.

Requesting a refund on Google Play

Refunds for Google Play purchases follow Google's purchase and refund process. Follow Google's instructions for getting a refund for Google Play purchases, or use the order history in your Google Play account.

Google decides whether a refund is granted, under the Google Play Terms of Service.

What we can and cannot promise

We cannot promise a refund that we are not able to provide ourselves — the decision sits with Apple or Google. What we can do is help: if the lifetime unlock is not working as described, if advertising is still showing after you purchased, or if a restore purchase is failing, email us and we will try to sort out the underlying problem.

Nothing on this page limits rights you may have under consumer law, including the Australian Consumer Law, that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Restoring a purchase

The lifetime unlock is tied to the store account you bought it with. If you reinstall the app or move to a new device, use the restore purchases option in the app while signed in to the same store account. If that does not work, get in touch.
